$10 Million Club Kilsyth project completed 6 months early
Following a fierce fire that destroyed the entire building, the patrons
and members were delighted when their club and function centre 'Club Kilsyth'
was opened well ahead of scheduled practical completion. This outstanding result
exceeded everyone's expectations. Key events in the Club Calendar such as the
'Spring Racing Carnival' and Christmas festivities could now be enjoyed by the
local community. Patrons returning to the club were impressed by the quality
finish, first class surroundings and extra facilities-noteably the new look TAB.
The individuals comprising the Project Management team that made this possible,
were selected for their diverse expertise to deliver this challenging project.
Lindsay Barber -General Manager, Abe Andrews - Project Manager and John Eggens -
Site Manager demonstrated their ability to manage tough challenges regardless of
the degree of difficulty. Their team utilised local trades and suppliers to achieve
exceptional results for this community based facility. Every individual understood
the importance of their role in contributing to a synergistic outcome. As the project
neared completion, the client recognised an early opening was now possible as a direct
result of expert programming and outstanding team management.
Club Kilsyth is a showcase project for which Johns Lyng Group are proud. It sets a
benchmark for future works and acts as a primary example for the construction industry
as to how even the toughest of challenges can be achieved through effective project management.
